The Hailey Public Library is a department of the City of Hailey, Idaho’s Emergency and Social Services Division.  It is located in the historic Hailey Towne Center on the corner of Main and Croy Streets in Hailey,  Idaho, the county seat of Blaine County.  The Library has been part of the town’s infrastructure and the heart of the community since the 1920’s. The Library serves the community as a place for public discussion, cultural enlightenment, entertainment, and information for all citizens.  Hailey Public Library serves not only the residential areas of the City of Hailey, but also the business community, provides education and information which benefits the economic growth of Hailey and improves the quality of life in our area

Patrons of the Hailey Public Library range from pre-school to elderly.  Primarily Library users are adult general readers, pre-school children, and students of all ages. The Library has a materials collection of over 26,000 items, which includes books, books on cassette and CD, video recordings, periodicals,  and more than 3000 historic photographic prints from the Martyn Mallory Collection.  The Library has eight public computer stations that feature Internet access, learning CD-ROM’s, encyclopedias and word processing.  Organized reading programs, cultural activities, and community events are offered for Library users of all ages.
