The Meridian Library District encompasses the area from the Boise River south to Lake Hazel and McDermot east to Cloverdale. The mission of the Meridian Library is to provide a comfortable, safe place where all members of the community feel welcome to come to relax, study and learn. Special emphasis is placed on providing current, high demand, high interest materials in a variety of formats including books, videocassettes, CD’s, computer databases, and the Internet. Special emphasis is placed on stimulating young children’s interests and appreciation for reading and learning; on supporting students grades K-12; and on supporting lifelong learning for adults. The Meridian Library provides programming for all ages and many different interests. The main building is located at 1326 W. Cherry Lane, with easy access to nearby schools and residential areas. The Old Town Branch is located in the historic old town portion of Meridian and will become an anchor of the walkable community project.
